Asa Wood gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Thursday. He struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
