Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Lynchburg Homeschool

Regents came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Lynchburg HomeSchool, but Josiah Jantomaso wouldn't allow it. The Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots came out on top against the Regents Lions by a score of 63-53 on Tuesday thanks in part to Jantomaso, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 25 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Regents lost, don't look at Tucker Jamison. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Jamison a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morris Hoffman, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds.

Lynchburg HomeSchool's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Regents, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynchburg HomeSchool will head out to face off against James River HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lynchburg HomeSchool has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Regents, they will venture away from home to take on Temple Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
