Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Christian Warriors vs. True North Classical Academy Titans

Westwood Christian is 0-6 against True North Classical Academy since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Westwood Christian Warriors will challenge the True North Classical Academy Titans at 7:30 p.m. Westwood Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Westwood Christian will head into Tuesday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune last Tuesday. They came up short against Miami, falling 85-59. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-23.

Despite their loss, Westwood Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Devin Mcintyre, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 23 points in addition to six assists and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Mcintyre's third in a row with at least ten points. Tristen Barnes was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, True North Classical Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 72-62.

The victory got True North Classical Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Westwood Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Westwood Christian ended up a good deal behind True North Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 75-57. Can Westwood Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
