The Sandia Matadors stacked an 18th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 84-53 win over West Mesa at home. Winning may never get old, but Sandia sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sydney Benally was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with three steals. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Liv Montano, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

West Mesa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Monique Sena, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Sena continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa De hoyos, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.

Sandia pushed their record up to 23-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.3 points. As for West Mesa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.
