Softball Recap: Timberline's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Timberline had to take the L. They came up short against the Garfield Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 15-4. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mallorie Casch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Lough, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Timberline fell to 5-1. As for Garfield, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Looking ahead, Timberline will be playing in front of their home fans against Thunder Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Timberline's pitcher better be ready for this one: Thunder Ridge has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Garfield, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Caldera at 11:00 a.m. Caldera has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something Garfield will no doubt try to take advantage of.
