Recap: BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs vs. Premier Prep- PHHoenix Fire
The BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 72-56 fall against Premier Prep- PHHoenix. BASIS - Scottsdale has not had much luck with Premier Prep- PHHoenix recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
BASIS - Scottsdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nithish Prakash, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Prakash pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Blake Tropper, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Even though they lost, BASIS - Scottsdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
BASIS - Scottsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Premier Prep- PHHoenix, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.
BASIS - Scottsdale will take on Glenview College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Premier Prep- PHHoenix, they will head out on the road to square off against Skyline Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
