Baseball Recap: Antonian Prep Comes Up Short

Antonian Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the TMI-Episcopal Panthers. The Apaches were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Antonian Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rocha, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Antonian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for TMI-Episcopal, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-8.

While Antonian Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
