Cheylin and Triplains/Brewster played the most hotly contested game in Western Kansas Liberty (8 Man) this week, with Cheylin eventually emerging with a 40-36 victory. Ruben Razo ran for 116 yards and caught one passes for five yards in the win.
Andrew Luna was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 217 yards on 21 carries as Golden Plains lost to Stockton. Jose Bermudez also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.
Samuel McKinney threw for 82 yards and three touchdowns. He was four-10 with zero interceptions.
Schmidt was the best wideout in the league this week as the Trojans lost to the Tigers. Schmidt tallied three receptions for 91 yards. Chad Becker helped Logan's passing attack out by catching three balls for 44 yards.
Philip Kulas made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Titans fell to the Cougars. The 5-foot-8 senior grabbed 2.5 sacks.
Brett Pinkerton provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Logan lost to Stockton. He completed seven passes for 140 yards and also ran for 101 yards.
Weskan's McKinney and Hayden Walker have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Western Kansas Liberty (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. McKinney has thrown for 1232 yards this season, while Walker has 33 catches for 772 yards. Luna from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 1404 yards.
In 151 carries Jordan Baird has accumulated 993 yard this year.
The Coyotes led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Greeley County. McKinney ran for 67 yards in the win.
