They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 8-1 walloping at the hands of the Paradise Panthers. Ponder was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Paradise apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.

For Paradise's part, they got a great performance from Braden Wilson as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Wilson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Briar Whitaker, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Madden Taylor was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
