Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Victorious

Eldorado won the last time they faced West Mesa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Eldorado found their leader in sophomore Jayda Latone, who had 22 digs.

Eldorado was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Kianna Joe and Isabella Garcia certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Joe had 13 digs and 12 kills, while Garcia had 30 assists and 11 digs. Garcia has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Delilah Stidham, who had six kills and five blocks.

Eldorado now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Mesa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Eldorado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against St. Michael's on the 12th. As for West Mesa, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Atrisco Heritage Academy on the 12th.
