Mount Carmel entered their tilt with Shamokin Area on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Indians 18-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tornadoes also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Aidan Brokenshire was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jaylen Delaney was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jason Klokis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Mount Carmel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .550 or higher in six consecutive games.

Mount Carmel's record now sits at 16-1. As for Shamokin Area, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Mount Carmel has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Southern Columbia Area on the 11th. As for Shamokin Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Sugar Valley Rural on the 11th.
