Basketball Game Preview: Northview Knights vs. Cloverdale Clovers

Northview and Cloverdale are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Northview Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cloverdale Clovers at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Northview's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Cloverdale has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Northview blew past North Putnam, posting a 59-24 win.

Meanwhile, Cloverdale had to endure a 21-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 53-23 victory over South Vermillion. The Clovers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Cloverdale, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.

Northview took their victory against Cloverdale when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 45-19. Will Northview repeat their success, or does Cloverdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
