Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Warriors vs. Oakland Wildcats

The Valley Christian Warriors will face off against the Oakland Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian has given up an average of 51.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Valley Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 75-45 loss at the hands of Archbishop Riordan. The Warriors have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Meanwhile, Oakland unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakland Tech.

Valley Christian will need to focus on slowing down Rohm Neal, one of several Oakland players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Romyn Waugh, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Oakland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Oakland's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
