Baseball Preview: Carson Colts vs. Palisades Dolphins        
        
		
            The Carson Colts will square off against the Palisades Dolphins at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carson comes in on six and Palisades on three.
Carson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. They put the hurt on South Gate with a sharp  15-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won nine contests by ten  runs or more  so far this season.

 Salvador Carillo looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Carson is undefeated when  Carillo allows one or  fewer  hits, but 12-13 otherwise.
 At the plate, Carson got a  massive  performance out of  Xavier Allen, who  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Allen is becoming a predictor of the Colts' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 5-1 (and 11-12 when he doesn't).  Noah Sandoval was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Carson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .647. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Palisades was able to grind out a solid  win over Kennedy on Thursday, taking the game  7-4.
  Jack O'Brien was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  RBI, as he's  now  brought in three or more in each of the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jack Kurland, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Palisades' victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.
