Baseball Game Preview: Canyon Springs Cougars vs. Perris Panthers

The Canyon Springs Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Perris Panthers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Canyon Springs and 13 for Perris.

On Tuesday, Canyon Springs came up short against Rancho Verde and fell 6-2.

Canyon Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrone Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Joseph Ursulo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Perris lost 18-5 to Hillcrest on Tuesday.

Canyon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Perris, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Everything went Canyon Springs' way against Perris when the teams last played on April 10th, as Canyon Springs made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
