Baseball Game Preview: Walsh Jesuit Warriors vs. University School Preppers

The Walsh Jesuit Warriors will square off against the University School Preppers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Walsh Jesuit 2.7, University School 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Walsh Jesuit sidestepped Medina for a 3-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Battling Bees: they've now won three in a row.

Anthony Alberty looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matthew Mansbery, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

University School came out on top against Washington on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Preppers walked away with a 7-3 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Preppers.

University School also got a great performance from Lucas Clavijo as he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Bobby Berglund was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Aaron Moss was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

University School's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Walsh Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-1.
