Baseball Recap: Delaware County Christian's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Delaware County Christian dropped their record down to 8-9 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 9-5 to the Faith Christian Academy Lions. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Matteo DeBellis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 12 games he's played.

As for Faith Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games.

On Faith Christian Academy's side, Reid Miller looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Looking ahead, Delaware County Christian will face off against Jenkintown at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Drakes at the right time seeing as the Drakes are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
