Standley Lake waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Conifer Lobos by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Gators, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Standley Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 28-26, 25-11, 25-17.

Standley Lake had a senior duo take command as Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner had eight digs and three aces and Maryn Paulson had 14 digs and one assist. Lambrecht-Gardner has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Standley Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conifer only served six.

Standley Lake's record now sits at 12-2. As for Conifer, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Standley Lake and Conifer should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Gators will square off against Evergreen at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (42 vs. 192). Meanwhile, Conifer (ranked 84th) will meet D'Evelyn (ranked 231st) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
