Soccer Recap: St. Joseph Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

St. Joseph Academy and Pine squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Joseph Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pine Knights by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Flashes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Knights are ranked 15th).

St. Joseph Academy moved to 20-8 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those eight games. As for Pine, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

As of now, neither St. Joseph Academy nor Pine have any future games scheduled.
