Volleyball Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Salem on Tuesday, Carrollton came back down to earth. Carrollton fell 3-1 to West Branch on Thursday. If Carrollton was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to West Branch when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carrollton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for West Branch, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Carrollton will head out on the road to face off against Garaway at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Branch, they will welcome Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
