Volleyball Game Preview: Oblong Panthers vs. Cumberland Pirates

The Oblong Panthers will face off against the Cumberland Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oblong is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Oblong is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Red Hill by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cumberland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Hutsonville/Palestine on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

While Cumberland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Oblong's win bumped their record up to 29-7. As for Cumberland, their victory bumped their record up to 15-18-1.
