Soccer Recap: Center Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carthage last Friday, Center came back down to earth. The Center Roughriders came up short against the Pine Tree Pirates on Friday, falling 4-0. The Roughriders were red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior) but the Pirates' defense proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, Center fell to 5-1-1. As for Pine Tree, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1.

Center didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Tatum on the 3rd. As for Pine Tree, they have also already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Kilgore on the 3rd.
