Softball Recap: West Mesquite Wranglers vs. Pinkston Vikings
While West Mesquite put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Pinkston. Everything went the West Mesquite Wranglers' way against the Pinkston Vikings as the West Mesquite Wranglers made off with a 15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Wranglers this season.
Avery Cox looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (one).
At the plate, Ava Garza was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Zoraida Barron was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
