Basketball Recap: Arcadia Skates Past San Fernando Valley Academy with Ease

The Arcadia Apaches blew past the San Fernando Valley Academy Huskies, posting an 88-24 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Apaches.

Despite the loss, San Fernando Valley Academy had strong showings from Success Coupet, who posted nine points, and Maddon Corcios, who scored no points. Coupet is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Arcadia's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Arcadia will take on St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Apaches will be up against the Golden Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newbury Park Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
