Volleyball Recap: Zeeland East's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Zeeland East waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Grand Ledge Comets by a score of 2-0. The Chix have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Comets, too.

Zeeland East easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17.

Zeeland East's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Grand Ledge, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-11-1.

Coincidentally, Zeeland East and Grand Ledge will both be playing Marshall the next time they take the court. The Chix will host the Redhawks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
