Basketball Recap: Dillingham Comes Up Short

Dillingham came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 59-33 to the Newhalen Malamutes. The Wolverines have struggled against the Malamutes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Dillingham's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Newhalen, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

While Dillingham had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
