Volleyball Preview: Republic Tigers vs. Glendale Falcons
The Republic Tigers will head out to square off against the Glendale Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Republic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, it was close, but Republic sidestepped Rogers for a 2-1 victory.
Republic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-15.
Meanwhile, Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clever.
While Glendale had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 14 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14.
Republic's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Glendale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
