Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 74-36 loss at the hands of the Ligonier Valley Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-51 back in December of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Ligonier Valley, they moved to 7-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Mt. Pleasant will take on Geibel Catholic in a tournament on Sunday. One thing working in Geibel Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. Ligonier Valley has already played their next contest (against Greensburg Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
