Basketball Recap: Ferris Yellowjackets vs. Hillsboro Eagles
The Ferris Yellowjackets posted their closest victory since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They skirted past Hillsboro 50-47. Winning may never get old, but Ferris sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the defeat, Hillsboro saw an underclassman step up: Charlee Mack almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Mack hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Ferris' victory bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Hillsboro, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season.
Ferris will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Godley is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Hillsboro, they will take on the Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
