Softball Recap: Wagener-Salley Comes Up Short

If Wagener-Salley was riding high fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Calhoun County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wagener-Salley War Eagles lost 11-0 to the Providence Athletic Club Panthers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the War Eagles in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Wagener-Salley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Providence Athletic Club, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Wagener-Salley will head out to face off against Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Athletic Club, they will host Greenville H at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Providence Athletic Club is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
