Walsingham Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-38 victory over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Courtland Reiter and Asher Crowder certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Reiter dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards, while Crowder posted no points and 12 rebounds. Reiter has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Summit Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Walsingham Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 77-42 victory against Hampton Christian Academy on the 29th. As for Summit Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-37 win against StoneBridge on the 29th.
