Volleyball Recap: Jenison Wildcats vs. Oxford Wildcats
Jenison waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Oxford Wildcats.
Jenison's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Oxford between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17.
Karis Chatfield paced Jenison's offense, picking up 11 kills. Chatfield got some help from
Rudy Maynard and her 13 assists.
Rylee Paddock controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Jenison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 37-7-2 record this season. As for Oxford, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.
Jenison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Midland on the 2nd. Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
