Basketball Game Preview: Perryton Rangers vs. Hereford Whitefaces

The Perryton Rangers will head out to square off against the Hereford Whitefaces at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Perryton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Pampa. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Harvesters recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hereford). They really took it to Borger for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-40 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Whitefaces who have now won four contests in a row.

Hereford has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Perryton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Perryton was able to grind out a solid win over Hereford when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 80-72. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perryton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
