Basketball Game Preview: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Durant Cougars

Strawberry Crest and Durant are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Strawberry Crest Chargers will face off against the Durant Cougars on Tuesday. Strawberry Crest has now lost 16 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 22.

Last Thursday, Strawberry Crest came up short against Alonso and fell 41-30.

Airreonna Cauldwell put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Hartman, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Durant faced off against Mulberry on Saturday. Durant took a 47-32 bruising from Mulberry. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Panthers are ranked 108th).

Strawberry Crest's record now sits at 3-16. As for Durant, their record now sits at 14-9.

Strawberry Crest took a serious blow against Durant in their previous meeting last Wednesday, falling 60-5. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Strawberry Crest was down 30-5.
