Basketball Recap: Jerrison Dixon and Kveon Griffin Secure Win for West Brunswick

West Brunswick won the last time they faced Whiteville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans walked away with a 59-49 win over the Wolfpack. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

West Brunswick was led to victory by Kveon Griffin and Jerrison Dixon. Griffin shot 75% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards, while Dixon went 6-for-11 to rack up 20 points. Griffin is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Isaac Clarida was another key player, putting up five points and 11 rebounds.

West Brunswick's record is now 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Brunswick will welcome Cape Fear Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whiteville, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against East Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
