Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Skates Past Lexington with Ease

There's no place like home for Grace Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by the Lexington Golden Bears to the tune of 86-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted since November 19th.

Grace Christian Academy was led to victory by Ty Gibbs and Ford Deshazo. Gibbs dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 boards, while Deshazo went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. With that strong performance, Deshazo is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Stewart, who posted six points.

The win got Grace Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Lexington, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Grace Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-43 victory against East Hickman County on the 28th. As for Lexington, they will challenge Clements at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
