After a string of five wins, Juneau-Douglas's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Lathrop Malemutes, falling 11-1. The Crimson Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Malemutes earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Juneau-Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Lathrop, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

While Juneau-Douglas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
