Volleyball Preview: Queensbury Spartans vs. Columbia Blue Devils
After both having extra time off, the Queensbury Spartans and the Columbia Blue Devils will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Queensbury sitting on ten straight victories and Columbia on four.
Queensbury is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Niskayuna 3-2.
Queensbury wouldn't go down easily and took Niskayuna into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-13, 13-25, 15-10.
Meanwhile, Columbia made easy work of Ichabod Crane on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.
While Columbia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-20.
Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 22-7-2. As for Queensbury, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.
