Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Polk Rams vs. Ankeny Centennial Jaguars

The Southeast Polk Rams will face off against the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Southeast Polk is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Dowling Catholic just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 77-50 loss at the hands of the Maroons. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Maroons are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Ankeny Centennial lost to Johnston on the road by a 68-49 margin on Tuesday.

Ankeny Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Southeast Polk, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
