Oliver Holmes Game Report: vs Oxford

Sadly, Oliver Holmes posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Athens over Oxford on Thursday. Holmes wasn't messing around, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The pitching appearance was his eighth straight with two or fewer walks.

Holmes and Athens will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Avondale at 4:30 p.m. on the 19th.
