Baseball Recap: Salisbury Township Takes a Loss

Salisbury Township lost against Saucon Valley on Sunday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Falcons fell 11-7 to the Panthers. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garrett Leiner put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Leiner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Tyler Kuder and Nate Nunez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kuder went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run, while Nunez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Salisbury Township's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Saucon Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Salisbury Township will face off against rival Southern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Saucon Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Catasauqua at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
