Campo Verde is a perfect 10-0 against Mesquite since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Coyotes will challenge the Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Campo Verde fell victim to Canyon View and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Jaguars. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Campo Verde saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Giefski, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Mesquite suffered their closest defeat since February 27th on Thursday. They fell just short of St. Mary's by a score of 7-5.

Olivia Romans was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Gutierrez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mesquite dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Campo Verde, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything went Campo Verde's way against Mesquite in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Campo Verde made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
