Volleyball Recap: Desmet Beats Elkton/Lake Benton for Their Fourth Straight Victory

DeSmet hadn't done well against Elkton/Lake Benton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Elks by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

DeSmet had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

DeSmet's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

DeSmet will welcome James Valley Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, they are taking a road trip to face off against Great Plains Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
