Soccer Game Preview: Highland Tech vs. West Lincoln

The Highland Tech Rams will head out to square off against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Highland Tech's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cherryville as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Considering Highland Tech have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Cherryville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Savannah Butler (3), Chloe Robinson (3), and Alexandra Kellogg.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Golden Lions.

Highland Tech's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for West Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Highland Tech got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against West Lincoln by a conclusive 8-2 score. In that match, the Rams amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
