Softball Recap: Walden Grove Comes Up Short

Walden Grove came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks.

Walden Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliviah Valdez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Walden Grove dropped their record down to 11-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ironwood Ridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-9.

While Walden Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
