Volleyball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Valley on Monday, Foothill came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the West Campus Warriors on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Foothill took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 26-24.

Anelu Aina paced Foothill's offense, picking up three kills. Aina got some help from Geraldi Navel and her four assists. Navel was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for West Campus, they pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Foothill will be taking part in a tournament against Rio Linda at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Campus, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Monterey Trail on the 9th.
