            Softball Recap: Algonac Muskrats vs. Yale Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Algonac, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They walked away with  an   8-5  victory over the Yale Bulldogs  on Tuesday. The Muskrats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  win against them.

 Jaycee Reams made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Those  12  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kayla Raines, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.  Aubree Thomas was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Algonac's victory bumped their record up to 10-11-1. As for Yale, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record  this season.
Algonac will have a chance to go back-to-back against Yale: the pair will be back at it again later today.
