Preview: Sunset Bison vs. Molina Jaguars
Sunset is on a three-game streak of home losses, Molina a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Sunset Bison will take on the Molina Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunset comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Sunset fell victim to Mansfield Timberview's stalwart defense last Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Wolves on the road and fell 90-0. While losing is never fun, Sunset can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 886th, while Mansfield Timberview is ranked 115th).
Meanwhile, Molina was beaten by Mansfield Timberview 45-3 on October 12th. Molina was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-0.
The losses dropped Sunset to 3-6 and Molina to 3-5.
Sunset came up short against Molina in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 31-25. Will Sunset have more luck at home instead of on the road?
