Basketball Recap: St. John's Piles Up the Points Against Acalanes

St. John's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 81-54 win over the Acalanes Dons.

Sebastian Williams-Adams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 10 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Hunt, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points.

St. John's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

St. John's is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Acalanes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

St. John's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-58 victory against Christian on the 28th. As for Acalanes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-44 win against University Laboratory School on the 28th.
