The Winter Springs Bears will challenge the East Ridge Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
East Ridge will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Winter Springs extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Seminole.

Lilly Clark and Abigail Hooper did most of the damage at the plate: Clark went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Hooper went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Hooper a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Seemann, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, East Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Titans as they made off with a 10-1 victory.
Simmone Hymiller looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lilly Land was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Veronica Peterson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
East Ridge pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Winter Springs, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Winter Springs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like East Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
